Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Brown Sugar and Cinnamon

Bright orange sweet potatoes are a great table decorator for Thanksgiving. I had these over the holiday and they were so delicious! They were nicely browned, not too sweet, and very tender.


Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Brown Sugar and Cinnamon
(Makes 5 Servings)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2-3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3-4 tablespoon butter, in large pieces
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 5 medium sweet potatoes, peeled

Preparation:

1. Put the potatoes in a large baking dish. Add water, butter, salt, cinnamon, and sugar to the pan evenly.

2. Cover with tinfoil and cook at 350F for 30-35 minutes or until fork tender.
Serves 6.
